Ajay Industries has it’s roots long back from 1976 which started as a small machining workshop then known just by its work as the machining work shop This workshop was located in a twelve square meter space in Mumbai. It continued and gained reputation throughout the years by providing high quality machining, spare parts, fabrication and assemblies to various large industrial workshops in Mumbai.
Ajay Industries itself was incorporated by its name in the month of August 1987 in a small town of Chiplun as an industrial workshop with complete fabrication, machining, welding, repairing and assembly facilities. The same work was continued and within no time, Ajay Industries gained goodwill with many big industrial companies and government departments as a reputed supplier. The products mainly comprised of spare parts & assemblies it required for power generators & turbines up to 80 Mw.
In 1989, Ajay Industries manufactured spare parts for A.E.G. to the high precision required for their 80 Mw hydro turbines & generators in India. In 1998, The Company was associated with ABB Alstom Power at their project of 4*280 MW hydro turbines & generators as a sub-contractor to Alstom. During their more than 5 years of association in this project with Alstom the company enjoyed an opportunity to do installation, erection, fabrication, pipeline installation, handling & commissioning of several sophisticated heavy equipments related to power plant including turbines, rotor, submersible pumps, valves, gear boxes, motors, huge electric panels, switchgears, GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) equipments.
In 2008, the Company joined hands with ITT Corporation (now Xylem Water Solutions India) originally from USA and present across the globe in 70 countries with a sales revenue of over 14 billon USD and employee strength of approximately 44’000 people in 55 countries in list of fortune 500 companies. We are the authorized distributors for XYLEM for Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka and mainly looking after the Flygt submersible pumps, mixers, waste water products and SBR/MBR systems under the water & waste water segment.
Ajay Industries has a commercial sales office at Chiplun, A fabrication & machining workshop of 6,000 sq.feet, a closed shed warehouse of 3,000 sq.feet and open space warehouse of over 15,000 sq.feet. The company has also started export business of machined spare parts and assemblies. Ajay Industries has a sister company named Quality Equipments which deals in electrical products and machinery. And operates from the same sales locations.
The company has a sales office in Mumbai and is likely to open one in Goa in the near future. Keeping in mind that the success of any business depends on the satisfaction of its customers, the company is serving more than 150 satisfied customers in India from almost all types of industries, government and OEM’S. It has now reached an annual order booking of Rs 50.5 Million.
